Clinical profile
Dr Richard Jabbour is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at One Heart Clinic who specialises in both coronary and structural interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve implantation.
Dr Jabbour studied medicine at Imperial College London and trained in some of London’s most prestigious Hospitals including, Imperial College Healthcare Trust, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital.
Education & Training
He was awarded a highly competitive international fellowship to train at the world-renowned San Raffaele Hospital, in Milan, Italy, which gave him invaluable training in pioneering interventional cardiology techniques.
His PhD, awarded from the National Heart and Lung Institute (Imperial College London), involved the creation of engineered heart tissue from induced pluripotent stem cell derived cardiomyocytes. His work resulted in several awards and prizes and received coverage in both national and international media outlets.
Dr Jabbour’s NHS base is at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust which is one of the largest tertiary centres in the UK and a centre of excellence in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. He is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London
