Our heart valve membership gives you access to top cardiologists and advanced diagnostic testing to ensure you stay informed about any deterioration to your valvular disease.
When one or more of the four heart valves becomes damaged or diseased, it can affect the flow of blood through the heart. Valves can either become restricted in their opening thereby reducing the amount of blood that can flow through the heart or “leaky” when they don’t completely close. This can lead to strokes, arrhythmias, and heart failure.
Whilst a mild amount of leak or slight narrowing of any of the valves may not be of clinical concern, anything more than this requires regular (annual) monitoring. In time, medications may need to be added and eventually the valve may need to be replaced. This can be by open heart surgery or a “keyhole” procedure depending on the valve involved and the nature of the disease.
Monitoring is essential to catch silent changes and deterioration to heart valve disease. Our annual heart valve membership is designed to accurately evaluate changes to your condition and heart health early, allowing treatment to be refined, and any concerns to be addressed before they become more serious.

With other providers or the NHS, tests are often performed in isolation. This means it can take much longer, and require many more visits, to get a complete picture of how your valve disease might be progressing.
Our Heart Valve Membership is different because all the relevant investigations are packaged together for a comprehensive assessment that you only need to complete once per year. We take a full view of your heart health in a convenient 'progression watch' fashion, making the process far more efficient, thorough, and less convoluted for you.
Ultimately, structured monitoring replaces anxiety about your condition with facts, which has real quality-of-life value.
Our admin team is here to help in any way we can. We are happy to send a copy of your test results to your NHS GP or regular doctor for you.
